The Power of Your Subconscious Mind
The human brain is an amazing part of our anatomy. With it, humans develop their own unique personalities, skills and abilities. It is in the brain that our mind resides. And to add even further the, the mind itself has its own individualistic characteristics, having it own capacity to separate itself from a norm, defining its own unique existence. Furthermore, the mind is made up of different aspects, the conscious, the unconscious and the subconscious mind.
Now, let’s talk about the subconscious mind. It is defined in many ways and almost every one of them defines the concept totally different from one another. Clearly, the subconscious mind is not that understood or alienated carefully from the other aspects of the mind that even the world-famous psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud have denied it to be existing and have unequivocally condemned the term many years ago. He said, “We shall also be right in rejecting the term ‘subconscious’ as incorrect and misleading”. Freud had also extrapolated in his later publications that “”If someone talks of subconsciousness, I cannot tell whether he means the term topographically – to indicate something lying in the mind beneath consciousness – or qualitatively – to indicate another consciousness, a subterranean one, as it were. He is probably not clear about any of it. The only trustworthy antithesis is between conscious and unconscious.” The concept of a subconscious mind purportedly existing in the deep tresses of our minds is obviously not popular in the scientific society.
But despite the unpopularity of the idea of subconscious mind, there certainly is a need to understand the complexities of our minds. The reason we have so much illness and strife is that doctors and the population in general haven’t the slightest idea how our minds work. Emotions supposedly come from the alleged “subconscious mind” of humankind. The subconscious is crazy. It allows others to program it. We program it ourselves in periods of high emotions. (Love is blind.) How many of you are married just for the excitement of sex, then only to find out later that both of you are incompatible? How many of you are engaged in impulsive shopping? Why do cigarette companies always show the beautiful people smoking, and not the average, not-so-beautiful people like us? Why did you actually start smoking, or drinking? Were you feeling a physiological need or to satisfy feelings of inadequacy?
Whatever caused you to be thinking what you are now, it is definitely a fact that the human mind’s power is infinite. Maybe if we all just go and dig deeper into our minds then maybe, just maybe, we can harness a power over ourselves driving to the achievement of our goals. And who knows, maybe even perfection of our thoughts.
